However, the settlers continued to encroach on Native American lands 7) A war between the Colony of Virginia and the Shawnee and Mingo Indian nations.The Indians lost the right to hunt in the area and agreed to recognize the Ohio River as the boundary between Indian lands and the British colonies. 8) The battle was the last major conflict in the Northwest Territory between Native Americans and the United States soldiers.
